About World Chicken

World Chicken was conceptualized by a group of friends who love to eat chicken. The people behind World Chicken are: Luis Llamado - a U.S. educated and trained chef who has a distinguished career as chef/entrepreneur for numerous restaurants. Jose Camara -- A true-blooded restaurateur with more than twenty years experience in the industry and innovator/head of the successful Garlic Rose, Cafe Caribana and Le Mecene restaurants. Vanessa Yap -- A graduate of the Ateneo de Manila who brings in more than a decade of restaurant expertise.

They are so passionate about chicken that they experimented with various recipes that met their standards. Finally, they came up with a truly global menu that would appeal to different tastes: the Create Your Own Platter menu. It allows fellow chicken aficionados to choose from a wide selection of sauces and sidings to accompany their excellent freshly flame -grilled boneless chicken.

A lot of time and effort was given not only in developing the menu but also the quality of the product and service. One can have a great dining experience while in a food court setting. No wonder World Chicken became a phenomenal success when it first opened in Glorietta 4 Makati on October 1998. It is such a hit that up to now it is still No. 1 in sales! Trinoma World Chicken is also at the same league as Glorietta 4 in being No. 1.

Other food court branches are in Gateway Mall, SM Megamall, Ali Mall, 168 Mall and Pacific Building in Makati Avenue. The chain also expanded into World Chicken Cafes that serve a la carte in Greenbelt 1 Ayala, SM Manila, SM Mall of Asia, Insular Building Ayala and North Walk in San Fernando Pampanga.
